Register of Deeds office on October09, 1998, Deed Book 1638, pages 182 – 193. Doc. ID 16129. Expires – 07-01-2018. PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: Follow-up Inspection of Yard Waste Site. STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: None OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: None The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS; 1 – Today is a follow-up site inspection from the November 07, 2017 inspection due to the self-reported fire at the Yard Waste site. 2 – This inspection was unannounced. Ben Barnes was contacted when John College arrived at the facility. 3 – Nash County has hired a company to work on the Yard Waste fire. 4 – The company has equipment pushing the yard waste and removing any that is smoldering to a secure location as to control any new burning of additional Yard Waste. 5 – DWM permitting has approved a temporary Yard Waste location at this facility. 6 – Also, during the November 07, 2017 inspection, it was noted that the compactor at the convenience center had a split in one of the corners with leachate runoff issues. During this inspection, it was noted that NO attempts have been made to correct this issue to my knowledge. Please repair. 7 – Digital pictures taken during this site visit.
