ADDITIONAL COMMENTS;
1 – Today is a follow-up site inspection from the November 07, 2017 inspection due to the self-reported fire at the Yard
Waste site.
2 – This inspection was unannounced. Ben Barnes was contacted when John College arrived at the facility.
3 – Nash County has hired a company to work on the Yard Waste fire.
4 – The company has equipment pushing the yard waste and removing any that is smoldering to a secure location as to
control any new burning of additional Yard Waste.
5 – DWM permitting has approved a temporary Yard Waste location at this facility.
6 – Also, during the November 07, 2017 inspection, it was noted that the compactor at the convenience center had
a split in one of the corners with leachate runoff issues. During this inspection, it was noted that NO attempts
have been made to correct this issue to my knowledge. Please repair.
7 – Digital pictures taken during this site visit.
Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding this inspection report.
