Reporting Period: August 5 – August 18, 2017 Between June 19 and August 4, 2017, approximately 28,500 cubic yards (CY) of soil have been spread on the facility. Between June 19 and July 1, approximately 3,085 CY of soil was used to reduce the size of the working face area. Since July 1, approximately 25,415 CY of soil has been
used to build the berms and benches, and to spread an additional 8” of soil in preparation for
seeding. The work accomplished between August 5 and 18 is summarized below:
• Seeded approximately 5 acres. Seeding was delayed from August 8 to August 10 due to wet conditions. The seeded area was mulched on August 11. August 10 seeding included: o 2.5 acres on the southwestern slopes, o 1.5 acres in aggregate of the bare spots on the south and west sides,
o approximately 1 acre on the left slopes approaching the working face, and
o the area where the new culvert was installed at the wood yard ta the closed landfill
• From late Friday, August 11 through Tuesday, August 15, the site received at least 3
rainfall events, with total rainfall accumulation of over 4 inches. In general, the slopes remained in good shape; however, some areas require repair and improvements will be made to stormwater ditches.
• Began soil work on northern slopes.
• Added inlet protection.
• Began cleaning out SB-2.

Southwest Slope Dry seeding equipment (tractor, broadcast spreaders, cultipacker) was used on August 11 due to inability to spray 15% of the slopes due to safety concerns.
