June 30, 2017, Update Joyce Engineering Rockingham County – 7904 Page 1 July 2017
As reported on June 27, 2017, all areas of exposed waste have been covered, as shown in the
photo below. Temporary seeding of this approximately 4-acre area is tentatively scheduled to begin during the week of July 10, 2017.
The working face has been reduced in size and is covered on a daily basis, using the approved alternative daily cover of tarps as shown below. Photo taken on June 27, 2017.

The seeps noted in the April 27, 2017, DEQ Inspection Report have been repaired. The County
has also repaired additional seeps that appeared after the DEQ inspection.
The following five photos document the seep repair on the NW slope, which has been inaccessible due to wet conditions. Photo taken on June 28, 2017.

The access cut that was required to get the off-road haul truck down to the elevation of the seep is shown
in the photo below. Photo taken on June 29, 2017.
After excavation, the seep area was backfilled with rubble and rock. Photo taken on June 30, 2017.
