Please find enclosed the Permit to Operate for The North Carolina Zoological Society,
Inc. Small Type 3 Compost Facility, Permit No. 7604-COMPOST. This permit issuance
approves the 5-year permit renewal.

In general, the new facility permit does not reiterate permit conditions which are included
in the Solid Waste Management Rules, 15A NCAC 13B, nor does it restate specific
conditions which are included within the approved plans, such as site specific operations.

Please review the conditions of the permit carefully.
