On behalf of Wayne County, Municipal Engineering Services Company, P.A. (MESCO) intends to
submit an Alternative Source Demonstration (ASD) in fulfillment of the request outlined in a letter issued
by the NC Solid Waste Section (SWS) dated August 8, 2016 (DIN:26544). The ASD will address metals
detected in groundwater samples collected at the Wayne County Landfill. We request a 30 day extension
from the date the SWS provides feedback concerning statistical methods used to derive site-specific
