On June 1, 2017, the Division of Waste Management, Solid Waste Section (Section) received
Duke Energy’s request entitled;
Revision to Landfill Construction Drawings Cells 3 and 4, Permit No.: 1812-INDUS, Marshall
Steam Station, Catawba County, Terrell, North Carolina 28682. Prepared by S&ME. Prepared
for Duke Energy. DIN 27856. June 2017.
The request concerns revisions to the approved Construction Drawings for cells 3 and 4 of the
industrial landfill, Permit No. 1812-INDUS-2008. The revised drawings include changes to the
leachate collection sumps and leachate collection riser pipes. The Section has reviewed the
revisions and hereby approves of the Construction Drawings as presented in the request,
referenced above.
