Enclosed you will find a copy of Permit No. 6019, dated March 27, 2017 (DIN 27534), for operational
approval of the Mecklenburg County Landfill Facility Compost Unit. The following are important items;
 Read your permit carefully, it is important that you understand your permit. If you have any questions
regarding the permit, contact me immediately.
 The approved documents related to this permit may be downloaded at the Laserfiche Weblink,

 Copies of this permit, the approved plans, and all records, are required to be maintained by the
permittee at the facility, and made available to the Solid Waste Section (Section) upon request during
normal business hours.
 This permit;
o Approves the continued operation of MSWLF Phase 1 and Phase 2, Cell 1,
o Approves the continued operation of the HHW Unit, and
o Approves the commencement of operations in the Large Type 1 Compost Unit.
