ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The landfill had been mown close to the time of this inspection allowing for a more thorough inspection by staff
and inspectors.
2. Large areas of disturbed soil need to be seeded and mulched to prevent additional on-site erosion.
3. Large area of erosion leading to the sediment basin #3, on the north west corner of the landfill, needs to be
repaired. The sediment basin should be cleaned out and maintained.
4. Areas where settling and rutting are occurring need to be repaired and maintained to minimize water infiltration
into the landfill and the chance for additional problems to occur.
5. Fort Bragg staff verbally confirmed that the repairs to the west side of the landfill slope still needed to be
addressed.
6. Corrective measures are necessary.
