The landfill only accepts waste from Duke Energy’s Belews Creek Steam Station. A total of approximately 226,596 tons of waste was received by the landfill during the most recent twelve month period. Since the landfill went into operation and through the most recent survey on April 16, 2014, approximately1,110,823 cubic yards and 1,437,664.84 tons of waste have been disposed in the landfill. As required by G.S. 130A-309.09D(b), the County Manager for any county that generated waste for disposal to this landfill is sent a copy of the Annual Report. Therefore, a copy of this Annual Report is being provided to the County Manager for Stokes County. If there are any questions regarding this report feel free to contact me at (336) 215-4576.
