The landfill only accepts waste from Duke Energy’s Allen Steam Station. A total of approximately 244,329 tons of waste was received by the landfill during the most recent twelve-month period. Since the landfill went into operation and through the most recent survey on April 16, 2014, approximately 829,215 cubic yards and 932,748 tons of waste have been disposed in the landfill. As required by G.S. 130A-309.09D(b), the County Manager for any county that generated waste for disposal to this landfill must be sent a copy of the Annual Report.
