Prepared by Duke Energy. October 2016. DIN 26807. The request concerns Duke Energy’s proposal to remove bottom ash that has been eroded from the haul road and deposited at the toe of the landfill slope at the closed industrial landfill. The Section has reviewed the scope of the work Duke Energy has provided and concurs with its immediate implementation at the Facility. Furthermore, all actions necessary to prevent similar erosion issues from occurring in the future should be taken.
