Temperature data for compost is being kept and the current batch of compost has reached 131F for three days. OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: NONE FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 3 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS  A sign stating “No hazardous or liquid waste can be received" and emergency contact information has been added to the entrance which had been omitted when the new facility sign was installed.  Compost temperature records were reviewed. The current batch of compost had temperatures of 136F on 6/11/2016, 136F on 6/12/2016, and 135F on 6/13/2016  All side slopes of the landfill were reseeded on 6/10/2016 and 6/13/2016 where sufficient groundcover had not been established.  Minimal windblown litter was observed and appeared to be well managed.  All groundwater monitoring wells were observed and all wells were locked. Paths to all groundwater wells were mowed and were being maintained.  The well identification plates on groundwater wells MW5 and MW8 have become unattached. Please reattach the loose well identification plates.  A crack was observed on the concrete pad of monitoring well P18. Please ensure that the integrity of the well has not been compromised. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.
