am seeking your concurrence to abandon one (1) piezometer within the Active Ash Basin at Allen, ABLF-PZ-01, as
highlighted yellow in below image. This piezometer abandonment will need to be completed as soon as practical
to support ongoing ash excavation at Allen. The piezometer was installed in 2020 to support the comprehensive
Site Suitability Application package for the NSLF 3619-INDUS, SSLF 3620-INDUS, and ABLF 3621-
INDUS. Although the ABLF 3621-INDUS is not a permitted solid waste facility at this time, since piezometer ABLF-
PZ-01 is located within the proposed footprint, a NC Licensed Geologist will certify the abandonment in
accordance with such typical condition of a permit to construct.
