An on -site meeting was conducted to investigate reports of leachate seeps along the old access road to Phase 2. 2. During the inspection three excavated pits were observed along the south side of the old access roadway and one additional pit was observed along the north side. Mr. Davis stated the pits observed on site were excavated to capture leachate and prevent it from leaving the lined landfill. 3. During the inspection, leachate was observed flowing down the southern side ditch. However, leachate was collected in the excavated pits preventing flow beyond the liner system. No leachate was observed leaving the lined landfill cell. Page 2 of 5 FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section 4.
