Dear Mr. Cody:
The Solid Waste Section(Section) has completed an evaluation of the
demonstration of the utilization of a soil/coal ash blend as alternative daily cover at
the referenced landfill. Jim Patterson, Waste Management Specialist, has
confirmed that the soil/ash material, when applied as demonstrated, meets the
performance requirements of daily cover. Therefore, in accordance with Rule
.0505(3)(a), the Section approves the use of this material as alternative daily cover.
