Mecklenburg County Dear Dustin Janes, A review of the Transfer Station Cost Estimate for 6014-TRANSFER-2009, Waste Connections of North Carolina, Inc. submitted on 6/21/2023 has been completed. The estimate meets the site -specific operations and appears to be appropriate. The Division of Waste Management - Solid Waste Section has reviewed and approved the provided cost estimate required for establishing financial assurance for a transfer station. Initial Review Comments: 20230621 - The Section is in receipt of the revised closure cost estimate for the Transfer Station in Meck Co. Looks like you guys calculated the total costs for us back in 2019 and 2021, respectively (also attached), so I'd like your team's support dividing out the costs as required. Could you send me the information supporting the total cost when you have a minute, or a proposal to do so if it's more involved than I'm thinking? We need similar assistance for our Currituck Transfer Station (8546 Caratoke Hwy, Powells Point, NC 27909), but I don't believe you guys developed the FA total.
