Good afternoon Christopher,
It was great to talk to you this afternoon about the status of the Site and the requested closure of
the site.
During our conversation today you relayed to me the following items that have prolonged response
to application comments:
• Working on getting a new area approved with the County as they approved the LCID and an
adjacent TP together that are both tied to Mr. Lawson.
o The County relayed the TP would have to close with the LCID as they were approved by
the County together.
o However, Mr. Lawson is looking at getting approval from the County for a new area.
• The TP location was rezoned with its own County use permit.
o To date a board meeting to address this has not been scheduled.
• Mr. Lawson has been in poor health but appears to be on the up.
o We hope Mr. Lawson can return to good health.
• Weren't prepared to deal with the closure requirements of the LCID.
o Closure and Post -Closure Rule requirements that were readopted in 2021 can be found
here: 15A NCAC 13B .0567 Closure and Post -Closure Care Reauirements for LCIDLFS
• Surveyor is waiting on the health of Mr. Lawson to continue work.
