The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The facility is a land clearing and inert debris (LCID) landfill.
2. The facility has proper signage.
3. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 7:00am to 5:00pm.
4. The facility is properly secured with a locked gate.
5. An access road had been established and cleared around the LCID to provide emergency access.
6. The facility is permitted to receive land clearing waste, yard trash, untreated and unpainted wood, uncontaminated
soil, inert debris, and asphalt.
7. The facility site plan, operations plan, and permit and were not reviewed with the site operator at this inspection.
8. Vegetation had begun to establish in the area identified as recently covered in the January 2023 inspection report.
The previously identified erosion rills have been repaired.
9. An area of standing water observed near the center of the LCID. The area should be properly graded so that water
is not impounded over waste.
10. No woody vegetation was observed along the side slopes. However, overgrown vegetation was observed
throughout the tip of the LCID. The LCID should be mown as often as necessary to allow for proper inspection.
11. Digital pictures were taken during the inspection.
