Hello Tyler,
Thank you for the notification of the proposed plan to burn land -clearing debris as part of the landfill gas system
construction, and for the copy of the burn permit. From the drawing and description, it is our understanding it would be
in the vicinity shown below. The dates of the burn permit are Feb. 10 through March 11, 2023.
The Solid Waste Section does not have any objections to the controlled burning event. The activity must be conducted
in accordance with the Forest Service burn permit and should be closely monitored by the construction
personnel. Please inform Teresa Bradford and Deb Aja of our Section (emails above) when the activity begins and if you
encounter any problems.

Good morning, Teresa
Construction of the landfill gas processing facilities gas plant will begin in the next few days. Contractors will begin with
land clearing activities, and this will include the removal of the trees. Their subcontractor has obtained a burn permit for
residual materials such as, stumps, leaves and small branches. A copy of the burn permit is attached.

The area that will be impacted by this activity is located on the attached drawing and is east and south of our existing
shop area. The areas where the burning will take place are not in any permitted Sub -Title D areas.
The permit for the Chambers Development of North Carolina. Inc., facility, Permit No. 0403-MSWLF-2010, Attachment 2,
Condition 6, requires Section approval prior to initiating any burning activities.
This is a request for approval to commence with the burning as needed and consistent with the burn permit, in the areas
specified for the landfill gas process facility.
Please let me know if you need additional information to grant this approval.
