ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. This facility is approved for the acceptance of untreated and unpainted wood, silviculture waste, yard trash, and
yard waste
2. 15A North Carolina Administrative Code 13B .1402(e)(6)(A) states: “Small Type I facilities shall have an operations
area less than two acres in size and shall be limited to no more than 6,000 cubic yards material onsite at any given
time, including finished product.” During the inspection the facility was grinding material and loading trucks with
mulch, further reducing the amount of material onsite. The waste storage and processing area had been significantly
reduced and brought into compliance with the two-acre maximum area of operations.
3. Volume of stored materials (both processed and unprocessed) should not exceed a maximum of 6,000 cubic
yards to remain in compliance.
4. The majority of waste observed on-site consisted of land clearing debris and topsoil. No unpermitted or
unacceptable waste streams were noted during this inspection.
5. An interior roadway has been made of all-weather construction and is being maintained in good condition.
6. There is at least a 25 foot access path around the site for fire control vehicles.
7. No off site erosion was observed during this inspection.
8. No objectionable odors were observed.
