HomeMy WebLinkAbout0904T-TRANSFER-1995_NOD Resolution Letter_20220923 September 23, 2022 Sent via email: kmcclary@bladenco.org County of Bladen Attention: Mr. Greg Martin, County Manager PO Box 1048 Elizabethtown, NC, 28337 SUBJECT: Resolution of Notice of Deficiency Bladen County Transfer Station 0904T-TRANSFER-1995 Bladen County Dear Mr. Greg Martin, On 9/22/2022, David Powell representing the State of North Carolina, Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section (Section) received a copy of the Certified Transfer Station Operations Specialist certificate for Brandon Smith, at the for Bladen County Transfer Station, showing he was a current operator. Transfer Stations must have a certified operator onsite during operation, per rule 15A NCAC 13B .0405 (7) in accordance with G.S. 130A-309.25. An Additional operator is scheduled to be certified as a backup in coming months for Bladen County. Bladen County should add additional certified operators, to ensure continued operations when a certified operator cannot be onsite. This letter serves to confirm that the requirements of the Notice of Deficiency dated 8/19/2022 have been satisfied and the deficiency has been corrected.
