with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. David Powell with the Section inspecting Hoke County landfills. Met with April King, representing Hoke County
as Hoke County Solid Waste Director. Ms. King walked with Section staff during inspection. 2. Facility has proper signage, gated with fence access and roads of all-weather construction 3. Records reviewed at Hoke County consisted of: Transfer Station Assessment Report and response, Permit and operations plan were onsite; Previous inspections, 2021 Compost Time/Temps; Receipt for removal of mulch by 401 Sand; Daily tonnage logs; Omni Source receipt for WG and steel removal; 2021/2022 Oil removal receipts by Key Energy; 2021/2022 Safety- Kleene Systems oil removal records; 2021/2022 Carolina Tire removal receipts; 2022 Scrap Tire Certifications; 2022 Waste Screening Reports; Groundwater sampling report for 8/2022. Certified Operator Certifications: Gideon Locklear TRANS Expires 9/22/2024; Charles tedder TRANS Expires
9/22/2024; Brandon McKethan 3/9/2024; April King TRANS Expires 4/17/2025; Ms. King will be attending MOLO in near future.
4. Site was well mowed and EOW markers were visible. Good job, please continue to maintain. Closed MSWLF was viewed from Transfer Station trailer storage area and along roadway to LCID. Refer to Permit/Operations/Closure Plan on pre-approved methods to manage.

5. Frequent inspection of cap and edge of waste should be completed to inspect for shrub growth, erosion, settling and potential leachate seeps. Reminder: Any areas discovered should be repaired as weather allows site staff to do so without further degrading. Any repairs to the site should be documented in your records and made available to Section staff for review. There were a couple areas on northern end of Closed MSW that had shrubs/trees. Please remove and keep any from growing inside EOW.
