On March 7, 2022, leachate samples were collected from the leachate collection system at sample ports for Cell 1 and Cell 2 as depicted on Figure 1. For the March 2022 leachate sampling event, total dissolved solids (TDS) exceeded the laboratory method residue limit on the samples collected from Cell 1 and Cell 2 on March 7, 2022. The original TDS analysis was conducted on the last day prior to expiration of the allowable holding time; therefore, the leachate samples for TDS from Cell 1 and Cell 2 were recollected on March 17, 2022 Samples were collected by Duke Energy personnel. A summary of sampling results can be found in Table 1. Laboratory analytical and field forms are provided as Attachments 1 and 2, respectively. The parameters tested are not bound by state groundwater or surface water standards. The Allen RAB Ash Landfill leachate is sampled semi-annually during March and September. The next landfill leachate sampling event will occur during September 2022 with documentation to follow.
