The report was prepared with support from our consultant, ERM NC, Inc. (“ERM”). Please note that the spreadsheet file underlying the report contains confidential business information of Chemours. Accordingly, we will send that spreadsheet file under separate cover directly to you, and the spreadsheet file will not be further distributed or posted on Chemours’ website. Also enclosed are the final reports from Weston Solutions, Inc. (“Weston”) for the recent emissions testing of GenX Compounds at the Polymer Processing Aid (“PPA”) and Vinyl Ethers South (“VES”) manufacturing areas. The results from these recent testing events have been incorporated into the calculations underlying the enclosed monthly emissions report. These recent testing events supplement the prior emissions testing at PPA and VES performed this past January and pursuant to the Consent Order during the first product campaigns of 2019. The enclosed monthly emissions report shows the estimated GenX Compounds emissions through May and the projected emissions for the rest of the year, and identifies the assumptions that underlie the estimates, including the installation of a carbon bed at VES by the end of this month for further control of process and indoor air (equipment) emissions. This installation remains on track for timely completion. Based on the identified assumptions in the enclosed monthly emissions report, ERM’s calculations continue to show that the facility will meet the Consent Order’s 82% and 92% requirements for plant-wide interim reductions of emissions of GenX Compounds. Should these assumptions change, we will take other actions as necessary to maintain compliance. 2 If you have any questions, please contact me. Sincerely, Brian D.
