As shown on the attached Landfill Gas Monitoring Data Form, methane was not detected at any compliance monitoring point at a concentration above the lower explosive limit (LEL) during this monthly methane monitoring event. A Landfill Gas Remediation Plan (LFGRP) was submitted to the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NC DEQ) by Smith+Gardner on July 26, 2021 and was approved by the NC DEQ on August 2, 2001 to address LEL exceedances at LFG-2A. As proposed in the LFGRP, the installation of vent in the berm adjacent to LFG-2A and re -grading the area to promote better drainage began on July 23, 2001. Golder installed two additional vents were in the vicinity of LFG-2A on September 13, 2021. A Landfill Gas Remediation System Construction Record and Update Report was submitted to the NC DEQ on November 4, 2021, which proposed additional investigation of the exceedances at LFG-2A. The report was approved by the NC DEQ on November 8, 2021. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 336 852-4903.
