ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: 1) This Facility is a closed Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Landfill. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section 6703_INSP_20211006 Page 2 of 4 2) The site is secured by a locked gate at the Facility entrance. 3) Signage is posted at the Facility entrance stating the permit number and emergency contact information. 4) The Facility access road is of all-weather construction and is being well maintained at this time. 5) This Facility manages landfill gases through a passive venting system. 6) Highly visible edge-of-waste markers have been installed and are being maintained throughout the Facility. 7) Contract personnel were on site filling and grading areas of differential settlement throughout the landfill. 8) All re-graded outside slopes are being seeded and covered with rolled matting to establish a groundcover suitable to prevent erosion. 9) *Please ensure all newly filled and graded areas are seeded and matted to establish a groundcover suitable to prevent erosion in a timely manner. 10) Silt control fence has been installed around the toe of the landfill to restrict the migration of silt from the ongoing repair project during rain events. 11) The Facility surface water diversion/control features and ditches were reviewed. Overall, the water control features were clear of brush and other woody vegetation. 12) The Facility stormwater management basins were reviewed. The basins are well maintained with no excess vegetative growth. 13) Siltation from the ongoing repair project was observed in some of the stormwater management features. *Please ensure that, upon completion of the current landfill construction/repair project, all siltation is collected/removed from all surface water control features and properly managed. This area has a well-established groundcover of native warm season grasses which is mowed throughout the growing season as necessary. Contract personnel were working in this area repairing areas of differential settlement. 15) The trench fill area was reviewed. This area has a well-established cover crop and no areas of erosion were observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection. 16) No off-site erosion was observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection. 17) No violations were observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection. 18) *Corrective measures are required as a result of this Facility Compliance Inspection.
