ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The facility has been shut down since mid -March 2020, due to COVID-19. Please keep me informed to when the
facility may restart.
2. The facility is restricted to collecting and storing less than 13,000 scrap tires at any time in accordance with the
Financial Responsibility requirements of 15A NCAC 13B .1111. There are currently 3 trucks and 2 bays containing
tires, an amount less than the 13,000-scrap tire maximum.
3. The correct signage is at the entrance of the facility listing the facility name, permit number and emergency contact
information as well as materials accepted at the facility.
4. Records were reviewed during this inspection.
5. The access around the facility is stable and no soil erosion was noted. Erosion control logs were identified on either
side of the tire storage bays, to help control erosion of the Site.
6. The sediment basins appeared to be functioning properly at the time of this inspection. Mr. Hare stated that the
sediment basins would be cleaned out prior to restarting the facility. Vegetation around the basins should be mowed
and maintained for access and proper inspection.
7. Digital pictures were taken during the inspection.
