Dear Mr. Harding,
The Solid Waste Section has reviewed the Corrective Action and Request for Extension Letter
submitted by the City of Durham on March 17, 2021. This letter outlines the completed and planned
response actions to address issues noted in the January 12, 2021 Compliance Inspection Report
and requests a 120-day extension for the compliance deadline.
The Section approves a 120-day extension, from the date of this letter, to resolve the remaining
compliance issues. Please note that leachate seeps must be contained within the edge of waste. If
leachate flows beyond the edge of waste, you must notify the Section within 24 hours.
Please keep the Section posted on the progress of corrective actions. Should you have any
