PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: Comprehensive Inspection STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: None OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: None The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. The facility is fenced and is secured by a locking gate when it is not open for operation. 2. Correct signage is at the entrance of the facility listing the facility name, permit number, emergency contact information as well as materials accepted at the facility. 3. The facility accepts waste Monday through Friday from 0700 to 1600. 4. Training records were reviewed and current. 5. The area underneath the compactor was clean during this inspection. 6. Windblown waste was being well -managed around the transfer station. 7. Curbing is installed around the compactor and trailer loading area to ensure leachate flows into the drain, then to the oil water separator then into the lift station. The curbing in the trailer loading area has been damaged. Mr. Brothers stated that he has received quotes to repair the curbing. 8. During the inspection, leachate was observed to be slowly dripping from the trailer frame. The leachate was contained within the trailer loading area. Mr. Brothers plugged the holes where the leachate was dripping from and the trailer was removed from service for repair. Mr. Brothers also pushed any standing water within the trailer loading area into the leachate collection drain. Mr. Brothers provided a photograph of the cleaned trailer loading area. 9. The white goods are stored within a storage building to the northeast of the transfer station. 10. Scrap tires were laced within a storage trailer. 11.
