ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
1. Purpose was to follow up on previous inspection. David Powell and Drew Hammonds met with City Staff onsite to look at areas of concern at the Solid Waste sites the city operates and to discuss options moving forward. 2. The facility had some composted material onsite during visit. Over time mulch has been left and allowed to build
up. Material should be removed down to soil and ensure all material leaves facility properly.
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

3. After walking the perimeter of the site, it was apparent that there are numerous areas of unapproved waste comingled in the edge of the YW and into woods line. This material should be removed and disposed of at the proper landfill. YW material has been allowed to encroach into the 25-foot ditch buffer. This material should
be pulled back to meet this buffer. Keep documentation of unapproved waste removed.
YW material close to ditch and inside 25ft buffer. Midway along north side unapproved waste needs removal.
Midway on south side, unapproved waste in woods line. Also along midway on south side.

4. Corrective measures are necessary as result of this inspection. A follow up compliance inspection will be conducted by Solid Waste Section Staff. Failure to meet the conditions for compliance may result in Compliance Actions.
