Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. Page 1 of 2 FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management NORTH CAROLINA Solid Waste Section ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1. The facility is approved to receive stumps, land clearing debris and untreated and unpainted wood. 2. The facility was secured by gate and signage was posted at the entrance with the permit number and emergency contact information. 3. Tonnage records were reviewed from the FY2019-2020 Facility Annual Report. The facility received 13,819 tons of material from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020. Operations Inspection of the Treatment and Processinz Area (4507-TP) 4. Permanent boundary markers delineating the 50-foot setback to the property line were installed along the north and west sides of the facility. Permanent markers were also installed demarcating the 50-foot buffer for the onsite stream. 5. All wood and processed materials were being stored at least 50 feet from the property line and from the onsite stream at the time of inspection. 6. Unground land clearing debris was stored separately from unground pallets. No unapproved material was observed in the land clearing debris or pallet stockpiles. 7. Surface water was being diverted from the operational and storage areas and no standing water was observed at the time of inspection. 8. Interior roadways were being maintained and were in good condition at the time of inspection. 9. Access lanes were sufficiently sized to provide vehicular access in case of an emergency.
