Partial Facility Compliance Inspection without records review

STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS:
None applicable

OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
No violations were observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection; please see the ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
section below.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
1) This Facility is a closed MSW Landfill with a Temporary Disaster Debris Staging Site on the property.
2) This Facility is recorded with the Jones County Register of Deeds at: Book #218; Page #367.
3) This Facility is secured by a locked gate at the facility entrance. The gate was open upon my arrival and Jones
County Maintenance personnel were on-site during this Facility Compliance Inspection.
4) Proper signage is posted at the Facility entrance.
5) The Facility access road is of all-weather construction and is being well maintained at this time.
6) Permanent, highly visible, edge-of-waste markers delineating the waste disposal footprint are being

maintained as required.
7) A cover crop of native warm season grasses has been established throughout the landfill. The landfill cover
crop is mowed throughout the year as needed.
8) Mowing operations were underway during this Facility Compliance Inspection.
9) Some small trees and other woody vegetation were observed growing in a line near the southern landfill
disposal boundary. *As per our conversation, within thirty days of receipt of this Facility Compliance
Inspection Report, please remove all trees and woody vegetation and ensure this area is included in your
regular mowing schedule to prevent the growth of this type of vegetation in the future.
10) No areas of erosion or off-site erosion were observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection.
11) The Facility monitoring wells were reviewed. All wells were readily accessible, properly labeled, and secured
with functioning locks.
