An inspection at the Cherokee County Landfill (Permit No. 20-02) on October 5,
1999, verified that the violations noted in my September 22, 1999 Notice of Violation
have been corrected. The N.C. Solid Waste Section wishes to thank you and your staff
for efforts in correcting the violations. We also wish to urge you to take all steps
necessary to ensure that the landfill maintains compliance with all applicable regulations
on a continuing basis.
