60-01 Harrisburg Road Landfill
Dear Ms. Drummond:
Mecklenburg County requests that we discontinue sampling for 1, 4-Dioxane at the Harrisburg Road Landfill.
There have been no detections of 1,4-Dioxane in the last 3 sampling events (June 2018, December 2018 and
June 2019). The cost of the sampling for 1,4-Dioxane has greatly increased our sampling costs for our landfill
sampling program and is not necessary at this landfill. If you have any questions, please contact me at 980-314-
