See attached original approval letter. Let us know the date the trial will start, and the timing of the 6 month trial may begin from that date. However, if the trial doesn't begin by Dec. 31, 2019, we will need to reevaluate the trial approval and conditions. If you have any questions please let me know. Do not click links or open attachments unless you verify11 ciicniriniic Pmail as an attachment 0 Good afternoon all - I hope this finds you all well. Given the weather we have had and the difficulties catching up from a challenging winter we have NOT yet started the effort to blend the chipped manufactured wood into the compost operation at Wallace. The wood has been moved from the facility at Ashley Furniture and we are waiting a time when the weather will permit moving the chipper to the site. As soon as we gat a break in the weather we plan to do the chipping and blending as discussed earlier. Please extend the time for this demonstration effort. We have been planning to chip, but weather keeps getting in the way - between keeping the operation going and this demonstration we have just not been able to chip. If you need additional information from me, please let me know. We do plan to chip as soon as possible. the manufactured wood has been moved from Ashley to the Wallace farm Davie County site and we do NOT plan to take it back or to take it to a landfill. we WILL chip soon... please advise. thanks... The approval is for the Davie County Compost Facility, permit 3004-COMPOST- 2014. 1. The trial feedstock is for Langboard OSB and Norbord OSB. 2. The trial approval is for 6 months for composting, followed by 6 month study involving pottings. 3. The compost containing this material should be kept in a separate area from other compost, so that specific testing of the compost may be conducted at the end of composting or curing. 4. The maximum quantity of the product is 2000 cubic yards total for the 6 month trial. S. Testing of the finished compost is required, to include (1) ammonia, (2) formaldehyde by EPA Method 8315A, (3) VOCs by EPA Method 8260, (4) SVOCs by EPA Method 8270, and (5) metals and pathogens according to the current compost rules. The samples must be composite and the number of samples must be representative of the amount of compost generated. 6. Safety measures must be in place to protect workers from dust and emissions from the feedstocks and compost. 7. Measures must be taken to prevent dust and emissions from the feedstock grinding from leaving the compost facility property boundaries. 8. At the end of the trial period, a written summary should be submitted, to include the total volume or weight received, all testing completed, and a description of whether the trial was a success. If you have any questions or comments, please let me know. z:D Ena Q2 Donna J.
