PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: Partial Facility Compliance Inspection STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: None OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: None FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS; 01 - This un-scheduled facility inspection was a partial facility compliance inspection conducted by the windshield along with Andy Davis, Andrew Hammonds and John College. 02 - This inspection was conducted on the Closed 9801-MSWLF-1990 and Closed 9801-CDLF-1997 located at the Wilson Co. Westside Landfill, permit # 9809-CDLF. 03 - Edge of waste markers present. Some are being replaced. 04 - Need to start removing saplings before they grow larger. Roots can cause a potential leachate issue. As noted on the inspection report, dated August 04, 2017. 05 - No major erosion observed. 06 - Monitoring Wells not checked during this inspection. 07 - Facility has decent cover. Continue efforts to control weeds from taking over grasses. May need to mow more frequent to keep the weeds from choking out grasses. 08 - No pictures taken during this inspection. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.
