All concentrations reported in micrograms/liter (µg/L). ^Hydraulically upgradient well/sampling point Concentrations in bold and highlighted in yellow were detected above the 2L (or 2B) standards. MW3 P16R The concentration of barium in well P16R is believed to be partially attributable to natural sediment as has been previously demonstrated. The barium concentration in a low-flow, filtered sample collected in January 2015 (see the January 2015 Annual Monitoring Report) did not exceed the 15A NCAC 2L standard whereas an unfiltered sample did, indicating that a portion of the barium at this location is associated with particulate materials. Furthermore, barium is ubiquitous in groundwater samples collected at this site. Barium was detected in every sample collected as part of the January 2017 sampling event, and the concentration exceeded the SWSL in upgradient well P04. The source of benzene in well P16R is unknown. *15A NCAC 2L groundwater standards are listed for all groundwater sampling locations. 15A NCAC 2B standards are listed for surface water sampling locations (SW1 and SW2).
