During the last twelve month reporting period, the landfill has accepted waste from Duke Energy's Rogers Energy Complex (formerly Cliffside Steam Station) and Asheville Steam Electric Plant. A total of approximately 716,326 tons of waste was received by the landfill during the most recent twelve-month period. Since the landfill went into operation and through the most recent survey on May 7, 2017, approximately 1,576,322 cubic yards and 2,057,317 tons of waste have been disposed of in the landfill. As required by G.S. 130A-309.09D(b), the County Manager for any county that generated waste for disposal to this landfill must be sent a copy of the Annual Report. The waste reported in this report was received from Cleveland County and Buncombe County. The station lies on the Rutherford/Cleveland County line and the Permit to Operate for the landfill references Rutherford County. Copies of this Annual Report are therefore provided to the County Managers for Cleveland, Rutherford, and Buncombe Counties.
