Industrial Waste Landfill Annual Report
Dear Ms. McKee:
Attached is the completed Industrial Landfill Annual Report form for Duke Energy’s Allen Steam
Station Retired Ash Basin (RAB) Ash Landfill (Permit No. 36-12) for the past year (7/1/2016 to
6/30/2017).
During the past year, the landfill only accepted waste from Duke Energy’s Allen Steam Station. A
total of approximately 90,146 tons of waste was received by the landfill during the most recent
twelve-month period. Since the landfill went into operation and through the most recent survey on
May 7, 2017, approximately 1,120,391 cubic yards and 1,291,046 tons of waste have been
disposed in the landfill.
As required by G.S. 130A-309.09D(b), the County Manager for any county that generated waste
for disposal to this landfill must be sent a copy of the Annual Report. Therefore, a copy of this
Annual Report is provided to the County Manager for Gaston County.
If there are any questions regarding this report, please contact me at (704) 382-4761.
Sincerely,
