Dear Ms. Liggins:
On behalf of Thrift Road Holdings, LLC, enclosed please find the Redevelopment Now fee for the for the above referenced site located in Charlotte. Brownstone Properties II, LLC (Brownstone) submitted the initial $2,000.00 traditional track fee for the Berryhill Road (BPN 20091-16-60) site. Additionally, Brownstone submitted the initial $7,500.00 fee for the Thrift Road II (BPN 21013-17-060) Ready For
Reuse Brownfields property. Thrift Road Holdings has recently submitted a new Brownfields Property Application to combine these two Brownfields properties into one Site and has elected to utilize the Redevelopment Now option.
Based on recent conversations Ralph McGee of Hart & Hickman, PC had with Bill Schmithorst of DEQ
Brownfields, Brownstone understands that DEQ is retaining a $2,000.00 processing fee for both the Berryhill Road site and the Thrift Road II site (total of $4,000.00). Therefore, the enclosed check has
been made out for $24,500.00 to cover the balance remaining for the $30,000.00 Redevelopment Now
fee. Please note that Thrift Road Holdings, LLC included an executed Redevelopment Now Fee Consent
form with their Brownfields Property Application package.
