1. The closed landfill needs to be mowed. Please notify the Section when mowing has been completed.
An inspection of the facility will be scheduled to ensure there are no settled areas or ponding water
within the edges of waste.
2. Edge of waste markers must be found and marked so that they are clearly visible.
3. The Section recommends The County find a location, other than on top of the Closed MSW Landfill, to store
surplus vehicles to avoid damaging the landfill cap and to prevent potential methane gas hazards.
47A-LCID-1996
1. The working face of the LCID area is less than one acre, please remember that the debris needs to be covered
completely once a month or when the working face reaches one acre in size, whichever occurs first.
2. Some water was ponding in the bottom of the LCID area, ensure waste is not sitting in or being pushed into
water.
3. Yard waste and yard trash is being windrowed in the designated treatment and processing area.
4. The animal disposal area is covered daily.
