Dear Mr. Smith;
On July 8, 2015, the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources
(DENR) received the Vapor Instruction Barrier Design and Specifications prepared on behalf of
Gateway Apartments Charlotte LLC for the above referenced property. The plan was submitted in
accordance with the draft Notice of Brownfields Property Land Use Restriction Number 4. Upon
review of the material submitted, DENR finds the risk evaluation complete and approves vapor
mitigation plan.

Be advised that this approval from the Brownfields Program does not waive any applicable
requirement to obtain any necessary permits, licenses or certifications for the above listed activities
nor does it waive any requirement to comply with applicable law for such activities. If you have
