Dear Mr. Mussler:
This letter is being written to comply with the NC DEQ requirements for permit renewal for the subject facility.
As stated in Attachment No. 3, Part I: Operating Conditions No. 1, of the Permit to Operate (DIN 14198), “The
Permit to Operate shall expire October 1, 2016.” Pursuant to 15A NCAC 13B .0201(g) and the permit condition
referenced above, this letter is being submitted on behalf of the Owner 6 months prior to permit expiration to
request permit review and reissuance.
In accordance with the recent legislative action, the Owner anticipates applying for a Life of Site Permit during
this renewal process. Per your request, additional information including an updated Operation Plan will be
submitted after July 1, 2016 which is when the Life of Site Permitting statute becomes effective.
