ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. Boundaries of the 2-acre notified area were clearly marked.
2. An area for concrete storage has been established on an adjacent piece of the property.
3. Unacceptable waste is being removed from the LCID working face. Very good.
4. Unacceptable waste shall be haul off on a more frequent basis or a container or leak resistance truck with a
tarp/cover be used to store the waste until a trip to the proper disposal facility can be made.
5. The LCID waste needs to be covered in accordance with 15A NCAC 13B .0566 OPERATIONAL REQ. FOR
LAND CLEARING/INERT DEBRIS (LCID) LANDFILLS (4); Adequate soil cover shall be applied
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

monthly, or when the active area reaches one acre in size, whichever occurs first.
6. It is recommended that the area be sloped so that water runs off and does not become ponded.
7. It is recommended that the slope on the South end of the LCID be filled in to grade, then establish an entrance
road to help direct water away from the working area and truck access.
8. If Hunt Construction would like to pursue a full LCID permit it is recommended you contact Ed Mussler, NC
DEQ Permitting Branch Head.
9. You may also contact other local LCIDs or NC SWANA, http://ncswana.org/, for recommendations on an
engineering consulting firm to assist with the full permit application.
