The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The Septage Land Application Site consists of Field 1 (6.4 acres) and Field 2 (6.5 acres) for a total of 12.9 acres
of disposal area. The fields are currently permitted to remain established in fescue however bermuda grass has
been growing on the fields for some time and rye has been planted as a winter crop. The nutrient management
plan (NMP) will need to be revised to reflect current growing conditions.
2. The site is permitted for land application of domestic septage and grease septage.
3. The site is located at 707 Poplar Springs Church Road and has accessible all-weather roads to the septage land
application field covered under the permit.
4. Appropriate signage was displayed at the site.
5. Disposal area boundaries were delineated with permanent markers with the exception of one that was down on the
back side of the field division line.
6. All septage discharges appear to have been made within the disposal area boundary
7. No Standing liquid or pooled waste was observed. The waste appeared to be evenly distributed throughout the
field.
8. No objectionable odors were observed.
9. Weed control needs to be done when the cover crop is less than 80%.
