Issued May 27, 2015 – Expires, February 26, 2020 PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: Partial Facility Compliance Inspection STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: None OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: None FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS; 1 - This facility required signage and has locking gates at the entrance. 2 - The service area is Pasquotank and Camden Counties. 3 - The access roads are constructed of all-weather materials. 4 - The PTO, Ops Plan and Contingency plan were on site and reviewed. 5 - Waste is being transported to WM-Atlantic Waste Disposal Landfill in Waverly Va. or transported to East Carolina Regional Landfill (permit# 08-03) in Aulander, Bertie Co. 6 - Waste screening records were acceptable. It appears an average of 2 loads per week (at a minimum) are screened. 7 - The tipping floor and building were as clean as possible. All waste dumped onto the tipping floor and pushed into loadout trailers. 8 - Facility staff picks up windblown trash all during working hours. 9 - Scrap metals are removed from the tipping floor and placed in a roll off container. 10 - Facility has tank for oil recovery if any is found in any load during unloading on the tipping floor. 11 - No leaks found from stored trailers waiting to be transported to the Landfill. 12 - Leachate tanks are being pumped out on an as needed basis by Albemarle Septic Service, LLC. Tanks inspected daily. 13 - The Certified Transfer Station Specialist are listed below with expiration dates included. Janice V. Brown – expires October 19, 2019 Rick O. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.
