Re: Life of Site
WI Garner Transfer Station
Wake County, North Carolina
Permit No. 9217-TRANSFER-1994
Document Identification Number (DIN 28529)
Dear Mr. Pfleger;
The Solid Waste Section (SWS) has completed are review of Life of Site permit application Operations
Manual (DIN 28474) submitted on August 11, 2017 for the above referenced permit, several minor
modifications need to be changed;
1. 1.2 LIFE OF SITE (page 1-1) – based on our phone conversation the language “The site is currently
expected to remain operations through the financial LOS ending September 31, 2021. At this time, or
in the event of a major structural repair the site may be evaluated for extended operation;” should be
modified to a statement such as shown below.
The site is currently expected to remain operational as long as reasonable economic conditions dictate.
At this time, or in the event of a major structural repair the site may be evaluated for extended
operation. Significant site changes may require permit modification and will be coordinated with the
North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality Solid Waste Section.
2. 1.8 FIRE AND SAFETY (page 1-4) – (see Section 1.2.4) this typo should read (see Section 1.3.4).
3. 2.6.1 Operating Capacity (page 2-3) CW should be change to C&D.
4. 2.7.2 General Procedures 7. (page 2-5) – CW should be change to C&D.
5. 3.3.2 Record Keeping (page 3-2) – (see Section 1.13) this typo should read (see Section 1.14).
Please address the issues and submit a revised electronic PDF to my attention. If you should have any
question regarding this matter you may contact me at (919) 707-8257 or by email at
