Re: Extension Request
Alternate Source Demonstration Addendum Workplan
Kersey Valley MSWLF Permit No. 4104-MSWLF-1991
High Point, Guilford County, North Carolina
Dear Jackie,
On behalf of the City of High Point, Babb & Associates, P.A. has completed the well installation and
sampling of the replacement MW-4 monitoring well at the Kersey Valley MSWLF. These activities
were completed as proposed in the Alternate Source Demonstration Addendum Workplan dated July
28, 2017.
Due to the time needed to develop the workplan addendum and subsequent revisions, install the new
monitoring well and collect samples, we are requesting a 60 day extension to the 120 day deadline
established by the June 8, 2017 correspondence from the NC Solid Waste Section. The extension is
needed to allow for the completion of the laboratory analysis and preparation of the written report. If
acceptable, the new deadline for submission of the Alternate Source Demonstration Addendum report
would be December 8, 2017.
Thank you for consideration of our request for an extension to the existing established deadline. If
there are any question regarding this request, please contact the undersigned at (919) 325-0696.
Respectfully,
Babb & Associates, P.A.
Gary D. Babb, P.G.
