FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS Proper signage Field 1 with large percentage in Bahia 1 – Site has proper signage 2 – Good access road 3 – Markers are up but there is a question of the west boundary markers in Field 1. According to the map, the markers are further east than where they are in the field giving a larger spray area 4 – Septage discharges appear to be within boundaries according to marker placement 5 – Applications appear to be in compliance 6 – Bahia grass has taken over more than 20 % of fields where fescue according to the nutrient management plan is supposed to be maintained at a minimum of 80% coverage. Fescue can be reseeded during October and is recommended to be done 7 – No objectionable odors noted 8 – Question on setback from Field 1 to the closest house east of the field. Appears to be less than 500 feet requirement. There needs to be a 50 feet buffer between the spray fields and the soybean fields around them if for human consumption Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding this inspection report. ____________________ Phone: (910) 796-7397 John Farnell Environmental Senior Specialist Regional Representative Sent on: 08-11-2017 Email Hand delivery x US Mail Certified No. [ _]
