ADDITIONAL COMMENTS;
1 – Edge of waste markers present.
2 – Monitoring wells have ID tags and locked. Well number1 is being repaired. The county is going to add new ID tags
with more information as required. Test data not reviewed.
3 – Site is mowed two times per year.
4 – No erosion noted. A couple of bare spots were observed that were done by the bush hog mower.
5 – There may be a Leachate seep on the West corner of this Closed MSWLF at the toe of the hill. Please contact
Ervin Lane at: ervin.lane@ncdenr.gov or (919-707-8288) to discuss a plan of action. No liquid has left the site.
May need to put a berm around this area of concern to ensure nothing leaves the site.
6 – The landfill has good cover but has a berm around the top with surface water drain lines. One area on the
Northwest side is holding water on the top. This could cause an issue. Please correct this area. No water should
be ponded on the top.
Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding this inspection report.
